Upcoming Parent/Teacher Conferences

Friday, May 12th is a day set aside for parent/teacher conferences and celebrations of learning.  Conferences will be a combination of scheduled conferences as well as some open house times.  Please be on the lookout for information from your child’s teacher about how to sign up for an individual conference and/or what times to attend the classroom open house.  We look forward to celebrating your child’s learning with you!

Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Thunder Mountain, May 1-5, 2023!  Check out the Homepage for information on dates and times.  Sign up for an e-wallet so students can shop without cash and on a budget.

One School One Book

We were pleased to send home My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George with each student last week. During the month of May we will be participating in a One School, One Book event. One School, One Book is a program designed to create a shared reading experience within a single elementary school community. Reading a book together brings the added joy of building and expanding a sense of community among students, parents, teachers, and staff – and beyond.  As a family, we hope you enjoy this story of perseverance, bravery, and independence. 

Family Chess, Movie and Game Night

Please join us Thursday, May 11th from 5:00-8:00 for this PTA Sponsored event.  It will be a fun evening of Chess with Ms. Jenny, a Movie and concessions, as well as a variety of other games.  This is a free event and all students are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.  Family Game and Movie Night

Senior Walk

This year, we will host a Senior Walk just prior to high  school graduation. We are excited to invite all former Thunder Mountain students who are graduating from high school to come in their cap and gown for a walk in the school to be honored for all of their achievements. Graduating seniors, and their families, should arrive at the school by 1 pm on Monday, May 15th.
